November 13. Rock parking lot open at 5:30 pm. Showtime 6:30pm
We are closing off the Rock parking lot to hold this special event to raise money for the Friends of the Harbor Department. The Friends will be purchasing items such as a new beach wheelchair and rescue boards from the proceeds of this event. Bigger items in the future may be purchased, like a FLIR system for the Harbor Patrol boats. These items get well used throughout the seasons and are not always replaced in a timely manner due to budget constraints.
Food items for sale include:
- Tognazzini’s Dockside smoked chicken and rib dinners with side of coleslaw
- Popcorn
- Candy
- Sodas and water
Must have a portable device that plays the radio to hear the audio of the movies or use your car stereo! There will be some speakers set up for people in the front rows sitting outside in chairs.
Each paid entry will receive a raffle ticket. There will be a few items raffled off before the movie starts, at the intermission and at the end of the night. Must be present to win!
Call Harbor Office for any other questions! 772-6254

Hello,
We would just like to thank everyone involved in planning and supporting the first ever drive-in movie at The Rock in Morro Bay on November 13th. It went perfectly and was so much fun. It was obvious that a lot of work went into the logistics, and we appreciated all the effort. Hopefully this was the first ‘annual.’
We are not surfers but we enjoyed the movies a great deal and the Pink Panther cartoons. Thank you!
Regards, Michael and Doreen Gardner (Morro Bay)
Thank you for your feedback. We sure feel proud of our community for such a great turnout and look forward to making this an annual event!
We welcome ideas for movies to show in the future.
Sincerely,
Becka
