Join us to keep Morro Bay clean and gather important data for the Ocean Conservancy on the morning of Saturday, September 17!
ECOSLO organizes the county-wide efforts for International Coastal Cleanup Day, and the Estuary Program is happy to lead the cleanup charge on the North and Central Morro Bay sandspit. We’ll meet on the Embarcadero at about 8:30 a.m. (exact location and time TBA) and take a free boat ride over to the north end of the sandspit to start our day. We’ll hear from State Park rangers about the snowy plovers that make their homes in this valuable environment, and then we’ll clean the beach and tally the types of trash we find.
